For the past year I have been making the family Christmas stockings. My grandmother has made all of us grandkids and great grands stockings which we have enjoyed year after year. So, I thought I would do the same for my family. I started this past January and have made 5 to date. My next adventure is to make a Christmas Tree skirt, I just have to find one I like.
Here are our the stockings hung by our fireplace

Christmas with Mamaw and Papaw
So Chris' parents came down from Indiana for a visit. We didn't tell the kids so they were really excited when they walked in the door and surprised them. At first Adaline wasn't sure but she soon warmed up and of course Kagan was trying to organize where everyone was sleeping. We had to inform him that we had everything worked out not to worry.
Kagan, Mamaw, and Papaw made some super good cookies. I have no idea what they were called but they were like a shortbread dipped in chocolate and peppermint. Super good!! Here are pics of them making the cookies
He looks a little "special" in the picture but I was trying to get a picture of him eating the cookie they had made
Also, while they were here we went back to Bass Pro to see Santa. This time we got to see him. Kagan told Santa he wanted a guitar and an electric toothbrush for Christmas. Santa was a little taken back by the toothbrush but told him he would see what he could do.

*sidenote* before we left the house, we told Adaline we were going to see Santa and asked her "what are you going to ask Santa for?" she said "candy and ta-tas (paci's)" I dont' think she really understood what we were asking her but I thought it was pretty funny that she wants candy and paci's for christmas, two of her favorite things.
Bass Pro with The Andersen's
We decided to meet Ashleigh and the kids at Bass Pro to see Santa so while we were waiting for Ashleigh to arrive, we walked around the store and then looked at the fish. Adaline wasn't so sure about them but of course Kagan loved climbing on the rocks.

Cookies and Christmas Tree
Since Chris and I have gotten married, we have made a tradition of putting up and decorating the Christmas Tree on our Anniversary, Dec. 1. This year we decided to make gingerbread cookies before putting up the tree to get us all in the Christmas spirit.
