Christmas with Mamaw and Papaw

So Chris' parents came down from Indiana for a visit. We didn't tell the kids so they were really excited when they walked in the door and surprised them. At first Adaline wasn't sure but she soon warmed up and of course Kagan was trying to organize where everyone was sleeping. We had to inform him that we had everything worked out not to worry.

Kagan, Mamaw, and Papaw made some super good cookies. I have no idea what they were called but they were like a shortbread dipped in chocolate and peppermint. Super good!! Here are pics of them making the cookies

He looks a little "special" in the picture but I was trying to get a picture of him eating the cookie they had made

Also, while they were here we went back to Bass Pro to see Santa. This time we got to see him. Kagan told Santa he wanted a guitar and an electric toothbrush for Christmas. Santa was a little taken back by the toothbrush but told him he would see what he could do.

running to santa

Adaline didn't want anything to do with him so she waved and gladly took the candy

eating her wha-bob-pop (lollipop)
*sidenote* before we left the house, we told Adaline we were going to see Santa and asked her "what are you going to ask Santa for?" she said "candy and ta-tas (paci's)" I dont' think she really understood what we were asking her but I thought it was pretty funny that she wants candy and paci's for christmas, two of her favorite things.

shooting the crossbow (I think that's what it's called) and playing with the fishing game

Once we were done with Bass Pro, we went back home and let the kids open their presents from Mamaw and Papaw.

using their new crayola color paintbrushes (can't remember what the real name is)
I'm really sad I forgot to get a picture of all four of them together.
It's always nice to have Mamaw and Papaw come visit. I'm glad the kids get to grow up knowing their grandparents!
